Antalyaspor hope to 'sign Messi

Gencer has revealed his
ambitious plan to sign Barcelona
superstar Lionel Messi in five
years' time.
The newly promoted Super Lig
side are making headlines after
acquiring Samuel Eto’o from
Sampdoria and are now on the verge of reuniting him with
another former Barca star in Ronaldinho.
However, Gencer says that Antalyaspor will not stop there in
their attempts to sign Camp Nou icons, admitting that the
Turkish club plan to add Messi to their all-star collection.
"I hope the next president after me will be able to bring
Messi to Antalyaspor in five years' time," he told LigTV.
The Antalya-based club were promoted to the top-tier of
Turkish football at the end of last season, and hope to bring
in several household names in order to fill a new 40,000
capacity stadium, which they are in the process of
completing.
