President Goodluck Jonathan has called on Nigerians to go all out to register in the ongoing voter registration exercise, so as to be empowered to vote out unproductive leaders.
“The only way we can demand for accountability from our politicians is to equip ourselves and vote for people of our choice,” said Jude Imagwe, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Student Matters, yesterday while donating empowerment materials on behalf of President Jonathan, to indigent people in Agenebode, in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.
According to him, the strength Nigerians have is their voting right.
“If we cannot vote tomorrow, we cannot equally measure or criticise the performance of government and the only reason that make us to vote is when we are registered.”
He also advised Nigerians to remain united after elections as it is only going to last for a day. “We should not see each other as enemies.”
Items donated include fertilizers, sewing machines, hair dryers, hand dryers and clippers.
